– Copilot output

Affected users may receive the following error: “Need more information. To satisfy your organization’s security policy, an additional step is required.”
While we’re working to remediate this issue, affected users can attach these items using other connection methods, including:

– Outlook on the web
– Classic Outlook
– Outlook desktop clients
– Outlook mobile

Current status: We’ve initiated the fix deployment and anticipate it will complete by April 24, 2025, or sooner. We’re monitoring as it progresses and will provide an updated timeline when one becomes available.

Scope of impact: Some users attempting to attach certain Microsoft 365 content to email messages using the new Outlook for Windows may be affected.

Root cause: An authentication misconfiguration on a portion of impacted infrastructure responsible for attaching Microsoft 365 data to email messages using the new Outlook for Windows is causing impact.
