User impact: Users may see an error when opening the side panel for quarantined messages within Microsoft Defender for Office 365.

More info: Additionally, some quarantined messages may not be available within Security Operations Center threat hunting experiences, including email entity, threat explorer, and advanced hunting.

Our investigation indicates all actions and operations within the quarantine experience are still functional despite users encountering an error in the side panel display stating “Something went wrong. Primary and secondary data missing.”

Current status: We’ve completed validating the fix for the issue within our internal testing environment to ensure its efficacy and have started deployment of the fix to the impacted environments which we estimate should complete by Friday, August 1, 2025.

Scope of impact: Any user may be impacted when attempting to view quarantined messages within Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
