[Introduction]

To help organizations gain deeper insights into Copilot adoption―especially among users with Copilot licenses―we’re introducing new usage intensity metrics in the Microsoft 365 admin center. These metrics include aggregated prompt activity at both the organization and user levels. User-level metrics capture total prompts submitted across Copilot Chat (work) and Copilot Chat (web), as well as active days. This enhanced visibility enables admins to track usage patterns and adoption trends more effectively.

The update to the report is rolling out and will be available under Reporting > Usage > Microsoft 365 Copilot > Copilot.

General Availability (Worldwide): Rollout begins mid-October 2025 and is expected to complete by late October 2025.
