User impact: Users may encounter errors when attempting to create a post in Microsoft Viva Engage directly from a SharePoint page. More info: The error may occur specifically when using the “Promote to Viva Engage” feature. To circumvent impact while the fix is in progress, users can copy the SharePoint page URL and start the post directly within Viva Engage. Current status: Our development of the code solution that we anticipate will address the conflict between the two SharePoint web parts which render on the same page, is ongoing. We’re in the initial evaluation and development stages and we expect that we’ll begin deployment of the full fix by the end of December 2025. Scope of impact: Users attempting to use the “Promote to Viva Engage” feature through a SharePoint Page may encounter errors in their endeavor to do so. Start time: Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 2:11 PM UTC Root cause: A conflict between two SharePoint web parts which render on the same page is resulting in impact.
