User impact: Users may be unable to view device data and reports, or device data and reports may be delayed in Microsoft Intune.

Current status: We’ve confirmed that the recent change, which is intended to improve traffic flow, introduced unexpected load balancing behavior that’s resulting in the impact. This change has been reversed, and we’re observing recovery in most affected regions; however, there’s a portion of infrastructure which isn’t recovering as expected. We suspect this is due to a high amount of request retries, and we’re temporarily increasing the processing capability for that portion of infrastructure to see if availability fully recovers.

Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users located in North America and Europe attempting to view device data and reports in Microsoft Intune.

Root cause: A recent change intended to improve traffic flow introduced unexpected load balancing behavior which is resulting in the impact.
