Latest Message Title: Admins may not see data in multiple tabs within the Microsoft 365 apps admin center

User impact: Admins may not have seen data in multiple tabs within the Microsoft 365 apps admin center.

More info: Admins may not have seen data in the following locations in the Microsoft 365 apps admin center:
– Home page
– Cloud update
– Inventory
– Security Update Status

Admins may have received an error message stating, “There was a problem retrieving data for this page. Please refresh the page or try again later.”

Final status: After further monitoring of service telemetry, we’ve validated that our deployment to reinstate the removed Inventory apps and Shared Apps successfully remediated impact.

Scope of impact: Some admins may not have seen data in the Home page, Cloud update, Inventory, or Security update status sections in the Microsoft 365 apps admin center.

Start time: Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 5:00 PM UTC

End time: Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at 8:13 PM UTC

Root cause: A recent deployment to optimize Microsoft 365 apps service infrastructure incorrectly removed the Inventory apps and Shared Apps, resulting in impact.

Next steps:
– We’re analyzing the offending deployment to isolate why the potential for impact wasn’t caught prior to implementation. This further analysis will help us to ensure similar impact scenarios don’t occur in the future.

This is the final update for the event.
