More info: Syncing for Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, label configurations, custom classifications, and tenant policy settings intermittently fail in clients leveraging the Messaging Identity and Provisioning (MIP) software development kit (SDK), such as the Microsoft 365 desktop clients, Microsoft Fabric, and Microsoft Defender Advanced Threat Protection.<\/p>\n

These policy sync issues also prevent user policies that have Safe Links enabled from being honored, which causes Safe Links to be disabled.<\/p>\n

Current status: We’ve identified that a recently deployed feature update may be causing authentication issues that are resulting in impact. We’re validating this suspicion by testing a code change in a limited environment. If this proved to be a viable solution that remediates impact, we’ll apply this code change to all impacted users.<\/p>\n

Scope of impact: Any user expecting their DLP policies, label configurations, custom classifications, or tenant policy settings to sync appropriately for services leveraging the Messaging Identity and Provisioning MIP SDK may be intermittently impacted.<\/p>\n
