Users may receive a Non-Delivery Report (NDR) containing an error stating “554 5.6.0 Corrupt message content”.<\/p>\n

Additionally, users may intermittently receive calendar invite email messages as a plain text message containing winmail.dat attachments.<\/p>\n

Users may be able to send affected messages by attempting to resend. This may not be effective for all users.<\/p>\n

Current status: After some additional validations, we\u2019ve begun a worldwide rollout of our patch and anticipate it will take up to twelve hours to fully saturate all environments. We expect users to experience relief from impact as they receive the fix. We\u2019ll continue to closely monitor the service health during this rollout. <\/p>\n

Scope of impact: Some users serviced by the impacted portion of infrastructure sending or receiving email in Exchange Online may be affected, although impact is limited to a small subset of messages.<\/p>\n
