More info: Exports were performed from the Microsoft Purview compliance portal. Admins saw that eDiscovery (Preview) was exporting corrupted .zip files, and exports were failing in eDiscovery (Classic).
While we worked to remediate impact, we recommended affected admins attempt the following to work around this impact.<\/p>\n

1. Attempt to re-run the job. This condition didn’t happen for each export attempt. Please rerun the job as a first step.
2. We recommended you start with batches 3GB or below. If the export was larger than 3GB, please break up the job into multiple parts to reduce the size.
3. If you still experience the issue, please try to use the features under the “Class eDiscovery” tab.
If issues persist, please open a support case.<\/p>\n

Final status: We’ve confirmed that a build update intended to adjust how we set the value for .zip file headers larger than 4GB introduced a bug in how the file headers were handled, resulting in impact. Our previous fix deployment, which increased the allowed file size for exports, was successfully validated in our internal environment and with a subset of affected users, confirming the issue was successfully remediated.<\/p>\n
