Coming soon to Microsoft Defender: Updated password functionality for downloading Quarantine items through the Export-QuarantineMessage<\/code> cmdlet in Microsoft PowerShell. <\/p>\n

With this rollout, we will offer the -PasswordV2<\/code> parameter as a new experience that allows admins and users to pass plain text for their passwords when exporting Quarantine items in PowerShell cmdlet. Admins and users should use the -PasswordV2<\/code> parameter, because using the previous -Password<\/code> parameter may cause errors and –Password<\/code> won’t be available in the longer term.<\/p>\n
