Message Content<\/th>\nWe are announcing the ability to manage your source code for canvas apps in Power Apps. This feature will reach general availability on September 30, 2025.<\/p>\n

How does this affect me?<\/b>
This feature update allows you to view the underlying code to understand app functionality and manage source control. With this feature, you no longer need to use Power Platform CLI to convert a ‘.msapp’ file into source code files.<\/p>\n

You can view the source code for the canvas app in an updated, human-readable YAML format directly in Power Apps Studio or use external code editors.<\/p>\n

This new capability helps you: <\/p>\n

  • Automate generation of a canvas app.<\/li>\n
  • Improve the generative canvas app models.<\/li>\n
