Introduction<\/b> <\/p>\n

Microsoft\u2019s eSignature<\/b> service enables users to request simple electronic signatures directly from Word and PDF documents stored in SharePoint<\/i>. This feature ensures documents remain within Microsoft\u2019s trusted boundaries during the electronic signature workflow, enhancing security and compliance. This capability is now expanding to T\u00fcrkiye.<\/p>\n

When this will happen<\/b> <\/p>\n

General Availability (Worldwide):<\/b> We will begin rolling out in mid-November 2025 and expect to complete by late November 2025.<\/p>\n

    SharePoint administrators and users in T\u00fcrkiye.
    Microsoft 365 tenants with SharePoint eSignature enabled.<\/li>\n
  • What will happen:<\/b>

    • Users will be able to request eSignatures from Word documents using Microsoft Word Desktop (Beta and Current Channels) when stored in SharePoint eSignature-enabled sites<\/i>.<\/li>\n

      <\/p>\n

    • Users will be able to request eSignatures from PDF documents hosted in SharePoint eSignature-enabled sites<\/i>.<\/li>\n

      <\/p>\n

    • This feature is off by default <\/b>and requires admin configuration to enable.<\/li>\n

      Enable eSignature:<\/p>\n

      • In the Microsoft 365 admin center<\/i>, toggle the Word <\/i><\/b>option ON <\/b>for your tenant.<\/li>\n
      • Deploy the Group Policy setting Allow the use of SharePoint eSignature for Microsoft Word<\/b><\/i> using:

        • Cloud Policy Service<\/li>\n

        • Microsoft Intune<\/li>\n

          <\/p>\n

        • Group Policy Manager<\/li>\n

        • Note:<\/b> eSignature for PDFs does not require Group Policy configuration.<\/li>\n
