This issue is isolated to devices whose Windows OS licenses were activated via  <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/windows\/deployment\/windows-subscription-activation?pivots=windows-10\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">  Windows subscription activation<\/a> through the Microsoft 365 admin center.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The organizations affected by this issue can resolve it by installing <a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/help\/5072653\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">  KB5072653: Extended Security Updates (ESU) Licensing Preparation Package for Windows 10<\/a>, which was released on November 17, 2025. Once you install this preparation package (<a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/help\/5072653\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">KB5072653<\/a>),   you will be able to deploy the November 2025 security update (<a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/help\/5068781\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">KB5068781<\/a>).<\/div>\n<div>  <\/div>\n<div>Note: A new Scan Cab including metadata for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/help\/5072653\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">KB5072653<\/a> will be available in the near future for organizations that utilize cab files for compliance update   checks.
