This feature currently allows users to insert suggested files and other content by typing the \u201c\/\u201d character while composing an email. We are retiring this capability   to streamline the compose experience and reduce duplication with other supported attachment and editor workflows.<\/p>\n<p><b>[When this will happen]<\/b><\/p>\n<p>We will retire Context IQ<b> <\/b>from the new Outlook and Outlook on the web <b>  starting March 16, 2026<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><b>[How this affects your organization]<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>Who is affected<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Users who compose email in the <i>new Outlook for Windows<\/i> and <i>Outlook on the web<\/i> and currently use Context IQ\u2019s \u201c\/\u201d suggestions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i>What will happen<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Context IQ suggestions invoked with \u201c\/\u201d during email composition will be <b>removed<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Users will continue to add files and content using existing methods:\n<ul>\n<li>Paste a file or URL directly into the message body.<\/li>\n<li>Drag and drop files into the compose window.<\/li>\n<li>Use<i><b> Insert &gt; Attach file<\/b><\/i>&nbsp;to see suggested files, browse, and attach content.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>The<b> Editor feature remains available<\/b> via the button in the<i> lower-right of the compose area<\/i> and in the  <i>ribbon<\/i>.<\/li>\n<li>There is <b>no change<\/b> to attachment storage, file handling, or Editor capabilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>[What you can do to prepare]<\/b><\/p>\n<p>No admin action is required.<\/p>\n<p>To prepare for this change, we recommend the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inform your users about the <b>retirement of Context IQ<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li>Update internal training or documentation that references Context IQ or \u201c\/\u201d suggestions.<\/li>\n<li>Share guidance on how to attach files using supported methods:\n<ul>\n<li>Paste<\/li>\n<li>Drag and drop<\/li>\n<li><b><i>Insert &gt; Attach file<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Direct users to these Microsoft Support resources:<\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-left: 25px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/office\/add-pictures-or-attach-files-to-emails-in-outlook-bdfafef5-792a-42b1-9a7b-84512d7de7fc\" target=\"_blank\">Add pictures or attach files to email in Outlook | Microsoft Support<\/a><\/li>\n<li style=\"margin-left: 25px\"><a href=\"https:\/\/support.microsoft.com\/office\/check-spelling-before-sending-a-message-620b24fc-9cc5-4a2f-a26b-9ff4e02cc193\" target=\"_blank\">Check spelling before sending a message | Microsoft Support<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you track feature usage and want to identify which users interact with compose\u2011related features, you can use usage reporting available in the  <i>Microsoft 365 admin center<\/i> (for example, Outlook usage reports).
