Earlier this capability was powered by Wiki, which is set to retire from Teams based on the  <\/span><span style=\"background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255); font-size: 14px;\">announcement, MC496248,&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 14px;\">published in January.&nbsp;<\/span>  <\/p>\n<p>  <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"\" alt=\"Notes Tab\" src=\"https:\/\/img-prod-cms-rt-microsoft-com.akamaized.net\/cms\/api\/am\/imageFileData\/RW11mjq?ver=ca76\"\"><\/p>\n<p>  <\/p>\n<p>This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-365\/roadmap?rtc=1%26filters=&amp;searchterms=101962\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">  101962<\/a><\/p>\n<p>  <\/p>\n<p>[When this will happen:]<\/p>\n<p>This will start rolling out in late May and expect to complete by late June.<\/p>\n<p>[How this will affect your organization:]<\/p>\n<p>With this release, users will see a tab called \u201cNotes\u201d which is powered by OneNote, when they create a new standard channel in Teams. We\u2019ll leverage the default OneNote notebook created at a team level for this purpose. When a new standard channel is created   within the team, a new section will be created with the same as channel dedicated for notetaking within this channel.<\/p>\n<p>OneNote is the Microsoft 365 app for notetaking that offers that offers:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Easy collaboration across the team  <\/li>\n<li>View all channel notes in a team in one place organized within a single notebook  <\/li>\n<li>Rich editing with typing, ink annotations, highlighting, file attachments, etc.  <\/li>\n<li>Easy recall &amp; search for channel notes within OneNote on any platform  <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[What you need to do to prepare:]  <\/p>\n<p>  <\/p>\n<p>If your organization has not enabled OneNote you can review this documentation:  <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/deployoffice\/deployment-guide-onenote\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">  Deployment guide for OneNote<\/a><\/p>\n<p>[FAQs]<\/p>\n<p><i>How can I access the content captured for all channels in Notes tab?<br \/>  <\/i><\/p>\n<p>All members in a team will be able to access the content captured in Notes tab across all standard channels within that team by clicking on the Show navigation  <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"25\" height=\"\" alt=\"Navigation Icon\" src=\"https:\/\/img-prod-cms-rt-microsoft-com.akamaized.net\/cms\/api\/am\/imageFileData\/RW11jH0?ver=9030\"\"> icon on left.  <\/p>\n<p><i>How can I add back Notes tab to a channel if it is accidentally removed?<br \/>  <\/i><\/p>\n<p>Please note that Notes tab by default is only supported in standard channels at the moment. If your standard channel used to have a Notes tab, you can add it back.  <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>In Teams, go to the channel you want to add the Notes tab again.  <\/li>\n<li>In the tabs bar across the top, select Add a tab <img decoding=\"async\" width=\"25\" height=\"\" alt=\"Add a tab icon\" src=\"http:\/\/img-prod-cms-rt-microsoft-com.akamaized.net\/cms\/api\/am\/imageFileData\/RW11jGX?ver=5ae3\"\"> . The Add a tab window will open.  <\/li>\n<li>Select the OneNote tile. The OneNote window will open.  <\/li>\n<li>Select the \u201cDefault team notebook\u201d for your team, then select Save.   <\/li>\n<li>A tab with the team notebook name will be added in the tabs bar across the top. Right-click the tab to rename it to \u201cNotes\u201d.<\/li>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"200\" height=\"\" alt=\"Rename Tab\" src=\"https:\/\/img-prod-cms-rt-microsoft-com.akamaized.net\/cms\/api\/am\/imageFileData\/RW119gv?ver=be14\"\"><\/p>\n<li>Go to the Notes tab and select the show navigation icon.
