Current status: Our examination of the code path leveraged to retrieve authentication configuration information in users’ enrollment process conclusively confirmed that mitigative efforts resolving a recent authentication configuration issue didn’t reflect as expected in the cache. This led to the retrieval of problematic authentication configuration information when users attempt to enroll, which results in impact. While we’re continuing to investigate the origin of this caching issue so we can prevent similar future reoccurances, we confirmed through testing that restarting a portion of infrastructure on which affected users are hosted resolves the problem. We subsequently incrementally restarted all affected infrastructure units and we’re monitoring telemetry to ensure that this provices resolution for all users. <\/p>\n

Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure attempting to enroll iOS and MacOS devices in Microsoft Intune.<\/p>\n
