Thank you for your patience.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>[Introduction]<\/b><\/p>\n<p>We are enhancing how <b>Microsoft Defender for Office 365<\/b> identifies and manages promotional email. Promotional messages will be tagged as \u201cpromotions\u201d (previously \u201cBulk\u201d in preview) and can be moved automatically to a new Promotions folder. The system   learns from user actions, such as moving messages into or out of the <i><b>Promotions folder<\/b><\/i> and applies those preferences to future messages. These improvements reduce inbox clutter and help users stay focused while still receiving promotional content   they want.<\/p>\n<p><b>[When this will happen]<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Public Preview (Limited): <\/b>We will begin rolling out in <b>mid-April 2026<\/b>&nbsp;and expect to complete by<b>&nbsp;end of April 2026  <\/b>(previously late April). To be included in the public preview program, send an email to  <a href=\"mailto:\/\/BulkMailPreviews@microsoft.com\"><a href=\"mailto:BulkMailPreviews@microsoft.com\">BulkMailPreviews@microsoft.com<\/a><\/a> indicating: Organization name, Tenant ID and your onmicrosoft.com domain (e.g contoso.onmicrosoft.com) . Slots are limited and will close on April 30th, 2026.<\/li>\n<li><b>General Availability (Worldwide): <\/b>We will begin rolling out in<b> early July 2026  <\/b>and expect to complete by <b>late July 2026<\/b>.<\/li>\n<li><b>General Availability (DoD, GCC, GCC High): <\/b>We will begin rolling out in  <b>early July 2026<\/b> and expect to complete by&nbsp;<b>mid-August 2026<\/b>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>[How this affects your organization]<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>Who is affected<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All organizations that use <b>Microsoft Defender for Office 365<\/b> across Worldwide, GCC, GCC High, and DoD clouds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i>What will happen<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Incoming promotional messages will be tagged as \u201c<i><b>promotions<\/b><\/i>.\u201d (previously \u201cBulk\u201d in private and public&nbsp;preview)<\/li>\n<li>If the <b>Bulk Moves Enabled setting<\/b> is turned on, tagged messages will automatically move to a  <b>Promotions folder<\/b> created in user mailboxes.<\/li>\n<li>The system will learn from user actions when they move messages into or out of the Promotions folder.
