We\u2019re updating the default conversation layout for the first channel created in new Microsoft Teams. Starting in May 2026,<\/b> the first channel in any newly created team will default to the Threaded <\/b>(conversation) layout instead of Posts<\/b>. This change aligns the first channel experience with the standard default for all newly created channels, helping teams organize conversations more effectively from the start and improving discussion clarity for project-based collaboration.<\/p>\n
