Microsoft is introducing an automatic upgrade for shared calendars<\/b> in Outlook and Exchange Online<\/i>, transitioning from the legacy MAPI-based model to the modern REST-based model<\/b>. This server-side upgrade <\/b>will improve calendar sync reliability, performance, and consistency for delegates and users who access shared calendars.       • Shared calendars will be automatically upgraded<\/b> from the legacy MAPI-based model to the modern REST-based model.<\/li>\n
      • The service will create a new calendar folder<\/b> in a hidden state<\/i>, complete a full synchronization<\/b>, and then make the calendar visible<\/b>.<\/li>\n
      • The transition is expected to appear seamless, with no interruption to normal user workflows.<\/li>\n
      • Events older than one year<\/b> will not be included<\/b> in the initial sync window.<\/li>\n
      • Existing permissions and sharing relationships<\/b> will be preserved<\/b>; no re-sharing or permission reset will be required.<\/li>\n

        • Monitor for persistent issues, such as missing meetings after the migration window or duplicate calendar folders, and contact Microsoft support if observed.<\/li>\n
