Thank you for your patience.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>[Introduction]<\/b><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re adding a new Exchange Online admin policy that gives admins more control over the default Mail Compose and Reply setting that determines whether commas are used as recipient separators.<\/p>\n<p>This message is associated with <b>Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/microsoft-365\/roadmap?filters=&amp;searchterms=557676\" target=\"_blank\">  557676<\/a><\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><b>[When this will happen]<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>General availability (Worldwide): <\/b>Rollout will begin in <b>early April 2026<\/b> and complete by  <b>early July 2026<\/b> (previously mid-May).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>[How this will affect your organization]<\/b><\/p>\n<p><i>Who is affected<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exchange Online administrators in New Outlook for Windows and Outlook for Web<\/li>\n<li>All users composing or replying to email in <i>Outlook<\/i> where no per\u2011user override is configured<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><i>What will happen<\/i><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A new admin policy will be available to set the tenant\u2011wide default for \u201c<i><b>Use commas as recipient separators<\/b><\/i>.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Admins can choose whether the default is on or off for all users.<\/li>\n<li>If the policy is in effect, all users will have their setting default to the admin&#8217;s choice.<\/li>\n<li>Users may still toggle this setting in their Outlook client after the policy is set:&nbsp;\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 400px\" alt=\"user settings\" src=\"https:\/\/cxcs.microsoft.net\/static\/public\/messagecenter\/neutral\/d53d4d89-2cf9-4b09-8916-ad98fa64e98e\/51360c8601e14324e4cd6d6a0a45e002a951a767.png\"><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>This update is especially useful for organizations whose contacts commonly use \u201cLast name, First name\u201d formats.<\/li>\n<li>No changes will occur automatically\u2014tenants will retain existing behavior unless an admin modifies the policy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>[What you can do to prepare]<\/b><\/p>\n<p>No action is required. If desired, you may configure the new admin policy after rollout if you want to establish a consistent default.&nbsp;You can set this value&nbsp;via Powershell with the command &#8220;Set-Organization Config -RecipientDelimeters&nbsp;&lt;Boolean&gt;.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>You may also consider the following actions:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review your organization\u2019s preferred recipient formatting conventions.<\/li>\n<li>Update internal documentation if your helpdesk or user\u2011training materials reference this setting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>[Compliance considerations]<\/b><\/p>\n<p>No compliance considerations identified.
