Current status: After completing our internal validations, we’ve determined that our solution will address the incorrect service names and descriptions in Microsoft Defender for Endpoint Services and Event Viewer to remediate the impact. We’re deploying our solution, and our fix deployment timeline expects that it will be available by our next scheduled communication update. <\/p>\n

Scope of impact: This issue impacts a subset of users who have upgraded to Windows 11 in or after June of 2025. <\/p>\n
