Organizations who may have  blocked connection to copilot.cloud.microsoft will be redirected in October.<\/p>\n<p>Backend services and Copilot in Edge will require connection to *.cloud.microsoft. To avoid disruption to Copilot access across the web app, desktop app, and Edge experience, review your organization&#8217;s network and security controls to confirm that users  can connect to *.cloud.microsoft.<\/p>\n<p>[Rollout schedule:]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In early September, 2026, Microsoft will redirect users from m365.cloud.microsoft to copilot.cloud.microsoft in organizations where access to copilot.cloud.microsoft is available.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>In early November, 2026 Microsoft will redirect the remaining users who had not been redirected in early September. If your organization cannot complete the required configuration before the redirect, contact your Microsoft account representative to discuss  available options.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[Impact on your organization:]<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>When the Copilot web app transitions from m365.cloud.microsoft to copilot.cloud.microsoft, users will be automatically redirected. If device, network, proxy, firewall, security gateway, or similar controls block URLs within *.cloud.microsoft, affected users  may be unable to use Copilot in the web app, desktop app, and Microsoft Edge experience. Review these controls and allow the required domain before the redirect begins.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>The redirect remains within the *.cloud.microsoft domain and retains its security, compliance, and enterprise allow-listing properties. Organizations that follow the <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/microsoft-365\/copilot\/microsoft-365-copilot-requirements#network-requirements\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"> recommendednetwork configurations for Microsoft 365 Copilot<\/a> do not need additional network changes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>[Action required \/ Recommendations:]<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You can validate connectivity to the *.cloud.microsoft domain by using the <a href=\"https:\/\/connectivity.m365.cloud.microsoft\/copilot\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"> Microsoft 365 Connectivity Test tool<\/a>. Use the connectivity tool to validate connectivity to *.cloud.microsoft and confirm that your network and security controls allow access before the redirect applies to your organization.
