Current status: We’ve confirmed after running our script on an initial impacted mailbox database that it was successful at resolving impact. We’re continuing to run the script for databases impacted by the issue. In parallel, we’re working on a fix to correct the indices issue responsible for impact as a permanent remediation. <\/p>\n

Scope of impact: This issue may affect any user attempting to send or receive email messages that require DLP policy approvals.<\/p>\n

Root cause: A recent change introduced a regression which caused certain DLP properties to be incorrectly indexed. This resulted in our Event Based Assistants receiving a signal stating something critical is occurring when attempting to access the database to approve requests, resulting in restarts and impact. <\/p>\n
