We\u2019re making changes to Microsoft Search. This update will allow Microsoft Search administrators to change result layouts for select SharePoint content using adaptive cards with Result Type feature in Microsoft Search administration.<\/p>\n

The default result layouts for SharePoint sites, pages, list items and Portable document format (PDF) results can now be replaced with layouts built using adaptive cards. The changes can be made for Organization level search applicable to Office.com and SharePoint home.  <\/p>\n

Changes for Microsoft Search in Bing and site level search on SharePoint sites will roll out soon.   <\/p>\n

[When this will happen:]<\/p>\n

Standard Release: We will begin rolling out mid-July 2023 and expect to complete by August 2023 for the above-mentioned surfaces. Rollout for SharePoint sites and Microsoft Search in Bing will follow soon within a few weeks to months.<\/p>\n

[How this will affect your organization:] <\/p>\n

This feature does not change the current behavior on the Search page and requires Search administrations to make changes through administration portal.  <\/p>\n

The capability can be accessed in the Search & intelligence admin center under the \u201cCustomizations\u201d tab under \u201cResult type\u201d tab. <\/p>\n

Review Manage result types<\/a> if you wish to modify search result layouts.<\/p>\n
