Current status: We’ve identified that users are able to edit PDF properties but receive an error when doing so. Once users refresh SharePoint Online, they will see their change to the PDF properties. This is occurring due to a misconfiguration of the SharePoint Online service that causes sensitivity labels to be incompatible with PDFs. We’re deploying a configuration change that will remove the sensitivity field from the PDF properties user interface (UI), allowing users to make changes without receiving an error nor affecting existing sensitivity settings. We expect this change will be complete and remediate the impact by our next scheduled update.<\/p>\n

Scope of impact: The issue impacts any user attempting to edit the PDF properties of a new document if the sensitivity label is set to ‘none’ in SharePoint Online sites.<\/p>\n
