User impact: Users may not see all Microsoft Teams meeting details on MMD devices through Microsoft Teams or the Outlook calendar.<\/p>\n

More info: This problem only occurs in organizations where AppLocker is enabled. Impact is specific to users reviewing Microsoft Teams meeting information who have enabled the “Try the new Teams” option in Microsoft Teams. The problem occurs in both the Microsoft Teams meeting item and in the Outlook calendar event connected to the meeting.<\/p>\n

Users can directly disable the \u201cTry the new Teams\u201d toggle to avoid this issue further.<\/p>\n

Admins can disable the option in Microsoft Teams for MMD users to install the new Teams experience. The following link contains instructions for how admins can disable the “Try the new Teams” toggle: techcommunity.microsoft.com\/t5\/microsoft-teams-blog\/enable-the-new-microsoft-teams-toggle-for-your-organization\/ba-p\/3781345<\/a><\/p>\n

Current status: While we’re continuing to test our potential solution with a few sample affected users, we’re assessing whether this is the best mitigation strategy or if there’s a more effective method as we continue to understand the root cause of the issue to a greater degree. We’ve come to understand that a code issue within the AppLocker function that the new Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-In uses is causing the meeting to not generate the Microsoft Teams meeting information correctly, resulting in impact.<\/p>\n

Scope of impact: Any user may be impacted if they enable the “Try the new Teams” option on Microsoft Teams and AppLocker is enabled in their organization’s environment; however, only a small number of users are currently impacted.<\/p>\n

Root cause: A code issue within the AppLocker function that the new Microsoft Teams Meeting Add-In uses is causing the meeting to not generate the Teams meeting information correctly, resulting in impact.<\/p>\n
