Today, customers often contact Microsoft support to remove legacy and orphaned eDiscovery holds from mailbox and SPO sites. This cmdlet will help users self-serve to   remove eDiscovery holds and is available only in Security &amp; Compliance PowerShell.<\/p>\n<p>  <\/p>\n<p>This message is associated with Microsoft 365 Roadmap ID <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/microsoft-365\/roadmap?filters=&amp;searchterms=174597\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">  174597<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/microsoft-365\/roadmap?filters=&amp;searchterms=174604\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">  174604<\/a><\/p>\n<p>  <\/p>\n<p>[When this will happen:]<\/p>\n<p>Rollout will begin in early October and is expected to complete by mid-October 2023.<\/p>\n<p>[How this will affect your organization:]<\/p>\n<p>This cmdlet has three action parameters:  <\/p>\n<p>1. \u2018Get Holds\u2019 to get all holds stamped on a given mailbox or SPO site,   <\/p>\n<p>2. \u2018Remove Hold\u2019 to remove the specified Hold id stamp from the mailbox or SPO site and    <\/p>\n<p>3. \u2018Get Hold Removals\u2019 to get list of all holds removed using this cmdlet.<\/p>\n<p>Users who have Compliance Administrator role group permission can use this cmdlet to perform the above actions.
