When end users are the owners of a local file and they click on this button, they will be taken to the Microsoft Purview compliance portal where they can see user access   attempts for the local file and have the option to revoke access.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, admins will be able to view the tracking logs for all users and revoke access to local Office files using PowerShell commandlets.    <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/powershell\/module\/aipservice\/get-aipservicedocumentlog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Get-AipServiceDocumentLog  <\/a>searches for a document using the filename or the email address of the user who applied protection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/powershell\/module\/aipservice\/get-aipservicetrackinglog\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Get-AipServiceTrackingLog  <\/a>uses the file\u2019s ContentID to return tracking data.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/powershell\/module\/aipservice\/set-aipservicedocumentrevoked\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Set-AIPServiceDocumentRevoked<\/a> uses the file&#8217;s ContentID to revoke access.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/powershell\/module\/aipservice\/clear-aipservicedocumentrevoked\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Clear-AipServiceDocumentRevoked<\/a>uses the file\u2019s ContentID to restore the access.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>  <\/p>\n<p>[What you need to do to prepare:]<\/p>\n<p>  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/powershell\/module\/aipservice\/disable-aipservicedocumenttrackingfeature?view=azureipps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Microsoft Purview Information Protection Tracking and Revocation  <\/a>feature will be turned on by default. To disable the feature, use the Disable-AipServiceDocumentTrackingFeature commandlet.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/purview\/track-and-revoke-admin\" target=\"_blank\"
