More info: In addition to users being unable to create Microsoft 365 Groups in Microsoft Teams and Exchange Online, users may also observe the following impact scenarios:<\/p>\n

1) Admins may be unable change group settings for Microsoft 365 Groups.
2) Users may be unable to create a new Microsoft 365 Group via PowerShell.
3) When creating a new Group via Microsoft Teams, the Group will show as being created, but it may not be correctly created.<\/p>\n

Current status: Following the development and validation for our fix, we’ve determined that our earlier reported impact didn’t accurately represent the entire impact scenario and we’ve updated the Title, User Impact, and More Info portions of this communication with the updated information. <\/p>\n

In relation to the fix, we’re continuing to prepare our fix for deployment which we’re expecting will have remediated impact by our next scheduled update. <\/p>\n

Scope of impact: Impact is specific to some users who are served through the affected infrastructure that are attempting to create and modify Microsoft 365 Groups in Microsoft Teams and Exchange Online.<\/p>\n

Root cause: A recent scheduled update contained a change, applied to a specific cmdlet responsible for regulating access to Microsoft 365 Groups, is causing impact.<\/p>\n
