Today, this expiration happens automatically.<\/p>\n<p>Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management correlates various signals to identify potential malicious or inadvertent insider risks, such as IP theft, data leakage, and security violations. Insider Risk Management enables customers to create policies based   on their own internal policies, governance, and organizational requirements. Built with privacy by design, users are pseudonymized by default, and role-based access controls and audit logs are in place to help ensure user-level privacy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>[What you need to do to prepare:]<\/p>\n<p>With this update, admins will see a new option in the Risk levels tab for adaptive protection called  <i>Risk level expiration<\/i> options. This setting is enabled by default, and admins can uncheck this box if they would prefer that risk levels do not expire even when a user&#8217;s alert is dismissed or their case is
