More info: This event specifically impacted users who had the new Microsoft Teams client installed on their device and uninstalled it in favor of the classic client. This would have also impacted users that had the latest version of new Microsoft Teams installed, but then switched back to classic Teams without uninstalling. Additionally, this issue impacted meetings created using the Teams Meeting add-in. While this event was impacting, affected users could have switched to new Microsoft Teams client then restarted their Outlook desktop client, and created meetings through the Microsoft Teams calendar, or scheduled meetings through the Outlook web app to avoid the impact.<\/p>\n

Final status: We’ve successfully deployed the fix that reverted the code that wasn’t supporting the add-in on classic Teams and causing the impact. We’ve monitored service health telemetry and have validated that impact has been alleviated.<\/p>\n

Scope of impact: This issue may have potentially affected some users on the Microsoft Teams classic client that previously used the new client experience who were trying to create Microsoft Teams meetings through the Outlook desktop client.<\/p>\n
