More info: When attempting to initiate Microsoft Teams, users may receive an error message which states that the WebRTC component isn’t installed.<\/p>\n

This latency can also result in a poor Microsoft Teams experience, such as audio not being redirected, video quality being poor and compressed and not being able to utilize certain features, such as the react button. <\/p>\n

The issue only impacts Cloud PCs using Win 11 22H2 or Win 11 23H2 builds. <\/p>\n

While we work on this fix, impacted users can navigate to aka.ms\/msrdcwebrtcsvc\/msi<\/a> to download the latest WebRTC MSI to mitigate the issue. This may take a minute to complete, which will interrupt Microsoft Teams if in use. We recommend admins or end users to run this when Microsoft Teams isn’t in use, or during non-business hours.<\/p>\n

Current status: The deployment process is progressing, though taking a longer period of time than originally anticipated. The fix has currently saturated to 80% within the affected infrastructure and we’re continuing to ensure that additional remediating actions are not needed.<\/p>\n

Scope of impact: This issue may affect any Microsoft Teams user on Cloud PCs provisioned after Tuesday, May 21, 2024.<\/p>\n
