More info: When attempting to initiate Microsoft Teams, users may have received an error message which stated that the WebRTC component wasn’t installed.<\/p>\n

This latency could have resulted in a poor Microsoft Teams experience, such as audio not being redirected, video quality being poor and compressed and not being able to utilize certain features, such as the react button. <\/p>\n

The issue only impacted Cloud PCs using Win 11 22H2 or Win 11 23H2 builds. <\/p>\n

Impacted users can navigate to aka.ms\/msrdcwebrtcsvc\/msi<\/a> to download the latest WebRTC MSI to mitigate the issue. This may take a minute to complete, which will interrupt Microsoft Teams if in use. We recommend admins or end users to run this when Microsoft Teams isn’t in use, or during non-business hours.<\/p>\n

Final status: The deployment of the fix completed to the majority of the affected infrastructure and remediated the impact. If your device is continuing to experience issues with Microsoft Teams, please follow the steps provided in the More Info section to apply the fix.<\/p>\n
