We are contacting you because your organization is using Microsoft Teams Phone with phone numbers that are associated with statically assigned emergency locations. We are changing the routing for Microsoft Teams calls made by common area phones to emergency services in the United States. As a result of this change, calls to emergency services made by common area phones will be routed directly to the appropriate Public Safety Access Point (PSAP) instead of first being screened by a national call center to determine the location. <\/p>\n

Common area phones devices in scope for this change are identified by the assignment of a TeamsIPPhonePolicy<\/code> policy where the parameter SignInMode<\/code> is set to CommonAreaPhoneSignIn<\/code>. This change will be on by default. No changes will be made to emergency call routing for any other types of clients. <\/p>\n
